Why visiting Chile?

Chile, my home country is a wonderful land. It's a mixture of everything:

Landcapes / Nature: Mountains, valleys, desert, islands, seaside, countryside, glaciers, forests.

Food and drinks: Delicious meals made with local ingredients:  Chilean beef and corn casserole (pastel de choclo), empanadas, humitas (bow tie-shaped ground sweet corn), mote con huesillos (drink made of wheat grain boiled and removed from its husk which is mote and huesillo is dried peach), curanto, etc. and delicious wines.

Climate: In Chile, the climate is diverse: From dry to rainy and cold. In the north of the country, the climate is dry and hot, with sunny days almost the whole year. In the central zone, there is a Mediterranean climate, with sunny days and few rain during the year. And, in the south, it is predominantly rainy. In the extreme region of the country is windy, cold and snowy in the winter.

Sports: Chile has a huge variety of nature sceneries, ideally to practice a wide range of sports such as trekking, climbing (hills, mountains), kayak, hiking, parachuting, surfing, etc.

People: Chilean people welcome tourists kindly and warmly. Chilean people are characterized by their kindness, readiness and friendliness. Tourists will surely feel accepted as one of their own.

Culture: In this country, the culture varies from the north to the south. Different in the urban zones and the countryside. Or the way of speaking (accent). Different food, customs, traditions, way of living, etc. Chile is not a homogeneous country along.

Cost: In some cities of the country (especially the most touristic ones) are more expensive than cities that are not so "famous" or "popular". However, Chile does not have stratospheric prices regarding to other countries or main capital cities of the world. Besides, there are zones in a city that are more exclusive and others more affordable to purchase things. It will depend on where you want to go and your budget.

(Spanish) Language: Chile is a good destination to learn or improve Spanish language. If you want to study at an academy or immersion on your own through a job, intercultural exchange,  a pleasure trip, etc. Spanish language is not that difficult. But any country has their own slang and local terms, so if you do not understand something, please ask the meaning.

A unique country: Foreigners who live in Chile, they mostly highlight the beauty of nature, delicious food, nice culture and people. Many foreigners who came to visit Chile for a while, they fell in love with the country and they settled. Others fell in love with a Chilean and settled here, starting a family. And others who came to study or work, some of them settle and others leave with satisfaction. Foreigners rarely have negative comments or experiences being in Chile.

Chile has a unique charm that embraces anyone. So I recommend all my readers to visit Chile. And prior to coming here, please inform vastly about all the precautions to take, how to sightsee, costs, how to use transport, getting an estimate for travelling, etc.
