Chilean Spanish: Meaning of 'ya'

 

      Meaning of "ya" is used in Chilean Spanish with different contexts such as:

Ya:  Sí (Yes)

Quieres ese helado? (Would you like that ice cream?)

Ya! (Yes!)

Ya: Ahora (Now/ Straightaway)

Para ya! (Stop now!)

Ya: De acuerdo (To agree /OK)

 Nos vemos mañana (See you tomorrow)

 Ya! (I agree) /OK

Ya: Already (adverb).

 Ya había dejado de fumar el año pasado (I had  already stopped smoking last year)

Ya: Yet

Ya llegamos? (Are we there yet?)
